A Childless Woman: brides are usually childless

The bride in the photo is recently married in Guam (not her home country,) and the couple had their honeymoon tn France. They are both professionals from an Asian culture. She has advanced degrees and has traveled extensively. She lived with my husband and I for five months in the United States. She had graduated early from her master's program and needed a safe environment while searching for a position.

We are proud she considers us her "American parents." Her father, mother and two other sisters live in her home country. My education background helped me to give her some of the language skills still needed for success in the U. S. business world. My husband helped her with driving a car better. His business experience also gave her knowledge from a different prospective than college courses normally provide.

I am childless biologically, but this outstanding woman helped me to see that one's "own" children are not necessarily needed. Whether this woman remains childless or not is irrelevant and unimportant. As a sociable, giving person, she will fulfill her destiny and life with other children and different events, and it's all good!
